During the Nintendo Direct this evening, we got more details on Nintendo’s Wii U exclusive, Star Fox Zero. They showed off a two player co-op mode where one player uses the GamePad to fly and the Wii U Classic Controller to shoot. Using a Star Fox amiibo will allow you to give the Arwing the same look it had on the original Star Fox on the Super Nintendo.

Star Fox Guard has also been announced. In Star Fox Guard, Slippy and his uncle Grippy are trying to defend Grippy’s mines. You’ll be able to create your own missions, and there will be an online mode.

Star Fox Zero and Star Fox Guard will both launch on April 22nd in North America and Europe.
