Square Enix has released a Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness trailer for the character of Relia, a young girl Fidel and Miki encounter during their travels. It seems Relia (pronounced REE-REE-AH) has lost her memory, the pair feel for her and take a liking to her and decide to bring her along to help her recover from her seeming amnesia. But this is a RPG from Square Enix so we know there’s going to be a lot more to the story than a simple bump on the head (my money’s on psychological/emotional trauma or science experiment gone rogue).
You get a few bits of dialogue and character interaction with Relia in the trailer, along with some footage showcasing her combat capabilities. She appears to be a support character that can slow, or even stop, time to make enemies more vulnerable. Check out the preview below:
The more and more we see of the game, the more it’s looking like it’s going to be really special. Are you excited for it like we are?
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness is slated for a March 31, 2016 release in Japan for the Sony PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 entertainment system. A western release is confirmed for 2016 but no firm date has been set at this time. When we know more, we’ll share that information with you all.
