Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows

According to the Yacht Club Games website, the Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows expansion is almost here. To get Shovel Knight fans excited, they have released a new trailer showing off some in-game footage from the upcoming expansion. Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows is free for owners of Shovel Knight. The expansion puts you in the shoes of Plague Knight, as he embarks on an adventure of his own. He specializes in alchemy, giving him a different play style than Shovel Knight. More updates detailing the new campaign in Plague of Shadows are coming very soon according to the website. That should help hold fans over until the Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows expansion launches sometime in the not too distant future.

The Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows expansion had completed development on August 5th, and is now in the “Submission Phase”. In other words, the developer is coordinating with other teams to get the game ready for launch on each of the systems it is coming out on. There isn’t much time left until the expansion launches to Shovel Knight fans everywhere. In fact, their website says that the release of Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows is “immanent”. Check out the brand new trailer below and see what Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows has to offer.

Yacht Club Games also says they are going to be at Nindies@Night, which is a big Pre-PAX show being put on by Nintendo. The event will take place in Seattle on Thursday, August 27th at 8pm. If you can’t be there in person, you can still tune in via live stream to watch the event online. 19 different independent games will be featured (including Shovel Knight) with developers answering questions and gamers competing against each other in select games. You can find out more about the Nindies@Night event at Nintendo’s website.

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
