Continuing with Capcom’s parade of HD remasters, the company has recently confirmed an HD port of the last classic style Resident Evil title in the series, Resident Evil 0. Originally a Nintendo GameCube-exclusive title, the game shall be available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Currently, the game’s release is set for Japan only, sometime next year in 2016. It is very likely that Capcom shall bring the game to other parts of the world, as well, especially with Resident Evil Remaster being a financial success for the company overall. As with Resident Evil Remaster, if the game gets brought over to other territories, it will likely be digital-only everywhere but Japan, where it shall also get a physical release.
Capcom has stated that HD remasters of older games are a significant part of their business plan for this year, following Resident Evil HD and the soon-to-be-released Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. More games are likely to follow suit, as well, to continue with said plan.
