Project Giant Robot | oprainfall

During Nintendo’s Treehouse stream at last year’s E3, Shigeru Miyamoto showed off two innovative new games for the Wii U — Project Guard, a variation on a tower defense game, and Project Giant Robot, a Gamepad-centric title about fighting giant robots. Since E3, there’s been radio silence on both titles. Today, however, Nintendo released an outline of their future releases for this year, and both games were included in the lineup. The kicker? Project Giant Robot is supposed to hit the West in the “first half of the year.” That gives a window of about seven weeks for the game to be released over here!

Project Giant Robot utilizes the GamePad’s motion controls to direct the movement of the titanic fighter robot piloted by the player, from deliberately stepping forward to dodging attacks to throwing punches.
