Lunar is known for having memorable characters. For Lunar: The Silver Star, there is Alex, Luna, Jessica, Kyle, Nash, Mia, Ghaleon and Nall. Lunar Eternal Blue’s cast had Hiro, Lucia, Ronfar, Leo, Lemina, Ruby, Jean and Zophar. One of the best aspects of both Lunar: The Silver Star and its remakes and Lunar Eternal Blue are the NPCs in the various towns and routes. Out of all the NPCs, the most memorable group is the Lunar singers from Lunar I.

The singers of Lunar are ordinary, average, everyday citizens who enjoy singing to anyone who is willing to talk to them. If no one approaches them, they remain silent. The inspiration for their singing comes from the goddess Althena, the best singer in the land. Lunar’s singers have one goal: to spread the love of Althena through their talents. The quality of their songs comes nowhere near close to Althena’s power, but their effort must be applauded. Sure, you can go listen to Luna’s superior lovely singing voice, but why listen to a lovely singing voice when you can listen to a passionate voice instead. The singers of Lunar appear in different places across the world. They may show up in Burg, Saith, Meriba, Vane, Reza and Althena’s Shrine. All they can sing is “lalalalala” and over and over again in a very upbeat tune, but they chose the best word out of Do Re Mi Fa So La. They chose the best and last word.

Most of the singers remain nameless with one exception. The singer who stands out of the group is Lilly. Lilly is first seen in the town of Reza, a town of thieves. She is the most talented singer besides Luna. They are eventually kidnapped by Ghaleon and the Vile Tribe as they search for the one true singer. In a moment of unity, they sing with Luna to help Alex and his party reach the entrance to the Blue Dragon’s Lair. They become important NPCs who play a crucial role to saving Lunar.

The mission of the Lunar singers is to make the world a happier through singing just as Althena did when she and the human inhabitants came over from the Blue Star thousands of years before. Although most of the singers never had a name, they should never be forgotten. They are not the strongest group of NPCs, but they contributed to the safety of Lunar when it was in danger.
