As it always is, there are differences in content for the Directs. It could be as simple as release dates or even a game that wasn’t shown in the other makes an appearance. Well, here is what else happened in the European Direct.
Mewtwo was also announced for an April 28th release with a similar pricing structure — €3.99/£3.59 for the Wii U or 3DS version, €4.99/£4.49 for both. Club Nintendo members that registered both versions before March 31st will also get him for free on April 15th. Costumes for Mii Fighters will also be coming with a similar price structure — €0.79/£0.69 each for one version of the game, €1.19/£1.09 each for both versions.

amiibo Tap: Nintendo’s Greatest Bits was revealed for Europe as amiibo Touch & Play: Nintendo Classics Highlights. It will be available in May.
Mario Maker was also shown, with a release window of September given for the region as well.
As with the North American Direct, the presentation then shifted to regional news. Mr. Shibata appeared and started with news about Yoshi’s Woolly World. The game, as well as the yarn Yoshi amiibo, will release on June 26th. You can also get both in a bundle upon release.
Splatoon was next with the information about Ranked Battle and Battle Dojo. Splatoon and the Inkling amiibo will release on May 29th. There will also be a Squid amiibo available in a special edition of the game coming at launch.
Moving to indies, Shibata began by focusing on Affordable Space Adventures. This is a game that focuses on trying to travel through space while managing a budget. This game will release on April 9th.
Swords & Soldiers II is next. This is a sequel to the WiiWare game. It will release on May 21st.
Nintendo 64 and DS games were also announced for Europe. The first games coming on the DS are Mario Kart DS and WarioWare Touched!, priced at €9.99/£8.99. The N64 will have Super Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64, also priced at €9.99/£8.99. Upgrade prices on N64 games will be €1.99/£1.79. All four are available now and come with a “Buy three, get one free” deal until April 16th. Paper Mario and Yoshi’s Island DS were also announced with a scheduled release window of May.
New Wii games coming to Wii U were announced. Pandora’s Tower will release on April 16th while Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Skies releases on April 30th. Both games will be 25% off for a week after launch.
The Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem crossover was also talked about. No additional information was given for it.
Project Zero (known to us in North America as Fatal Frame) was announced as well, also coming later this year.
Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains is next. The first two episode of Attack on Titan are available to watch for free until June 1st. As for the game, it will release in May.
Next is a new game for Europe but one we’ve enjoyed across the Atlantic: Azure Striker Gunvolt. If you’re a fan of Mega Man-type games, you’ll more than likely like this, as well as the 8-bit Mighty Gunvolt. Both games will be available April 2nd with Mighty Gunvolt coming free until July 2nd. Menu themes of the game will also be available for purchase.
BOXBOY! was featured next. It is available now for purchase.
Pokemon Rumble World was then featured. It will be ready to download next week on April 8th.
The StreetPass Mii Plaza update was next with the new games revealed as StreetPass Fishing and StreetPass Zombies. The games, plus StreetPass Mii Plaza Premium, will be available for €4.99/£4.49 each on April 16th. You can also purchase the games for €7.99/£7.49 together. An International StreetPass Week was also announced.
Up next was Puzzle & Dragons Z. Information was shown for how to play the game for those that haven’t played the game before. The game will come with Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition and will release on May 8th.
Code Name S.T.E.A.M. was next with a demonstration of a couple of the mutliplayer modes: Death Match and A.B.E. Mode. It will release on May 15th.
The new Fire Emblem was then talked about. It is also planned for a 2016 release in Europe.
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer was next, featuring the amiibo cards. They will be releasing in Autumn, as will the NFC reader for older 3DS models.
Going back to Iwata, we see the reveal of Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 2 and the 200cc class. Pack 2 will be available on April 23rd for €8.00/£7.00.
