Fans of the latest Super Sentai series got a peek of the new Gold Ranger StarNinger in a recent promo image. They seem to have somewhat of a Western theme, as judged by the cowboy-esque brim of the helmet and cheeseburger shown in the promotional materials, which is actually a Ninja Star Burger which StarNinger uses to transform so he can help his fellow Rangers. The series itself is the third one to have a Ninja thematic, following Ninja Sentei Kakuranger in 1994 and more recently, Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger in 2002.
The 39th series overall, Shuriken Sentai Ninninger just started airing in Japan on February 22 and StarNinger is set to join the cast in April. No actor has been announced so far.
