PlayStation Now, Sony’s official game-streaming service, will soon be getting a full subscription-based option. On January 13th, PS4 owners will be able to stream over 100 available games a month for $19.99, or $44.99 for three months, with a one-week free trial for anyone who wants to give the service a try. This long-awaited streaming option will only be available on PS4 consoles in North America, with other platforms and regions to follow at a later date. Sony also announced that players who download the PlayStation Now theme on PS4 by January 31st will have a chance to win a free one-year subscription to the service.
PlayStation Now has been criticized for its premium pricing structure of individual games. So it will be interesting to see if this new subscription option will give the service a new lease on life.
