Earlier we reported that Alph from Pikmin 3 will be an alternative, playable character of Olimar in the new Super Smash Bros. games. Well, it turns out he isn’t the only alternative character to make an appearance.

Some lucky people on NeoGaf have managed to get early copies of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and have been revealing all sorts of information about the game. One piece of information confirms that Bowser Jr. is indeed a playable character, and, just like Olimar, he too has some alternative characters to play as. Can you guess who?

All seven Koopalings are now playable in the new Super Smash Bros. games. Yes, that’s right: Larry, Lemmy, Wendy, Iggy, Morton, Roy, and Ludwig join the fight and are ready to bring some serious pain.

As you can see, this comes to us from some off-screen photography by one of the players. While Nintendo has yet to officially reveal it, we expect that their official confirmation will be here soon. It should also be noted that these leaks are coming out the day before the Nintendo Treehouse plans to hold a big Super Smash Bros. stream.

Can you feel the hype?

What with Alph’s reveal earlier today, and now the seven Koopalings, does that officially gives us eight more newcomers? Will anymore fighters be getting alternative characters? Who would you like to see? Let us know in the comments below.

He’s British and found solace with us as he was able to understand our pain about Nintendo and their localizing faux pas. He’s a big fan of the letter ‘U’ and refuses to remove them from words, even though we constantly ask him to. He also believes it’s about time Princess Daisy got kidnapped.
