Nintendo has released a new trailer for Fantasy Life; one that showcases the multiplayer component. The trailer introduces two boss monsters – a jag-toothed dragon and some kind of a tundra-dwelling tyrannosaurus. It also hints (very subtly) at how different party compositions might be the key to winning these boss fights.
Also, it looks like Fantasy Life’s multiplayer focuses around exploration and combat. Crafting seems to be excluded, or at least, there is no kind of multiplayer crafting going on in the trailer. But seeing as the game’s progression system is built upon “Lives”, occupations that support each other, it doesn’t strike me as a particularly great problem. There’ll still be plenty of things to do, and if crafting is the only part of the game that doesn’t have any multiplayer interaction, then so be it.
