Destiny Ghost Edition

The Destiny Ghost Edition, complete with talking Ghost.

Bungie revealed information about multiple editions of Destiny Monday, including both the physical and digital content. First up, the Destiny Limited Edition comes in a SteelBook case and Guardian Folio packed with an “Arms and Armament” field guide, post cards, and a star chart.  Also included are digital items like emblems for the player, and skins for their ship and Ghost. The Destiny Ghost Edition includes everything in the Limited Edition, plus a light-up talking Ghost replica, patch, and a Letter of Introduction. Bungie also announced a Digital Guardian Edition which will include the game and digital items from the physical editions.

All of these special editions of Destiny also include the Destiny Expansion Pass. Bungie values this pass at $35, and it includes two expansions called The Dark Below and House of Wolves. These expansions include special content that will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 until Fall of 2015.

Lastly, Bungie revealed a new trailer and dates for the Destiny beta. The beta will go live on July 17th on Sony platforms, with downtime from the 21st-22nd, and then will be live on all platforms from the 23rd-27th. And, if players log in between 8 P.M. and midnight on the 26th, they will unlock a special emblem and other unannounced perks.
