Yesterday, XSEED Games announced that they will be localizing the spin off to the mainline title Senran Kagura Burst, Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus for the PlayStation Vita.
Not only that, but — unlike Burst, that is unless you live the PAL region — Shinovi Versus will have a physical release in North America. Acting as a first print edition — or what they’re calling the “Let’s Get Physical” edition of the game’s first and most likely only print run of physical retail copies — the print will be just that: limited. XSEED has stated that if you want a physical copy, best to do it as quick as possible as the amount that they print up will be determined by the amount of pre-orders the game gets.
No, the game will not be sold exclusively on their website, for one thing, as that has never been case for them. The game will be sold through other outlets that include GameStop and Amazon. In fact today the option to do so at GameStop has been made available, which you do so here or down below.
To add to this, XSEED, who are known for their transparency, was inquired about the game’s DLC, which includes Daidouji and Rin, who were originally unlockable in Burst. They have clarified and elaborated how they will handling it to extinguish any confusion any might have, stating that they will push to have the DLC that was free in Japan on the card while paid DLC will remain that way. Not only that, they have also announced that they are trying to remove the need for the unpopular online pass; which the Japanese version had as a requirement to engage in the game’s online multiplayer.
The release date found on the GameStop listing is just a placeholder as a concrete release date has yet to be announced. The game has not yet been announced for the PAL region.
