Child of Light, by Yoshitaka Amano

Child of Light is coming soon to consoles and PC. And as a way to spread the word about the game, Ubisoft brought in world-renowned illustrator Yoshitaka Amano to create beautifully painted original artwork. You can view the speed painting video below, giving a taste of what’s in store as well as seeing how the above image was created.

Child of Light is a unique, artistic, and poetic video game with lush watercolor backgrounds. Players will go through the adventures of Aurora, who goes on a quest to take back the sun and stars taken captive by the Queen of the Night.

Child of Light will be available to download on April 30, 2014 on Xbox LIVE for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, PSN for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Nintendo eShop for the Wii U, and direct PC download.

About Ryan McConnell

Ryan, or "MTX" has been following Operation Rainfall since the beginning of its campaign, and has joined the staff team on February 2014. He has a deep passion for story driven video games and mature philosophical anime. Xenosaga and Folklore are his favorite games, while Shiki takes the cake as his favorite anime. When he is not striving to develop his own video game, he enjoys analyzing and picking apart the games he plays from every perspective. He one day hopes to be a successful Indie Game Developer, Reviewer, or professional strategy guide writer for JRPGs.
