Toonami has released a new trailer to help promote Blue Exorcist‘s upcoming TV premiere. Originally scheduled to air in March, the popular shonen series will begin airing on February 23rd at 1:30 AM (though the block technically starts on the 22nd, Blue Exorcist wont air until after midnight; so Saturday night, Sunday morning). You can check out the trailer down below:
Blue Exorcist began as a manga series by Kazue Kato and quickly garnered enough popularity to warrant an anime series, a movie, and a spinoff manga called Salaryman Exorcist: The Sorrow of Yukio Okumura. The original manga is being distributed in North America by Viz Media, while the anime and movie were handled by Aniplex. The movie also saw a limited theater release across North America not that long ago.
Blue Exorcist‘s story follows high schooler Rin Okumura as he comes to a startling realization about himself and the world around him: demons exist, and he’s closer to them then he would have ever guessed. He and his brother begin attending True Cross Academy, an elite school that also offers classes to train young exorcists.
