The latest Super Smash Bros. game, officially titled Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, is due for release sometime this year. Somewhat unsurprisingly, based on the title, the game will be released on both the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U—but will not feature cross-platform play between the two consoles. While a lot of our old favorites like Zelda and Captain Olimar will be in the game, we also get to welcome quite a few new faces to the series. So far, we know that Rosalina & Luma, Mega Man, the Wii Fit Trainer, and the Villager from Animal Crossing will be among the new playable characters. The Wii Fit Trainer and Rosalina are both pictured in the latest screenshots. It was also revealed recently that Skull Kid will appear as an assist trophy in the game.

With the game being released sometime this year, there’s sure to be more news soon.
