Back in December, Amazon ran a poll on Facebook asking people their favorite video game of 2013. In a recent post, they’ve announced that the top 10 has been decided–and shared a snazzy-looking pie chart of the results.

Amazon Video Games Fan Favorites of 2013

The Top 10 Games of 2013 as voted by Amazon Facebook fans are:

Amazon’s staff has also conducted their own in-house Top 10 Video Games list. Here’s what they came up with:

They’ve also listed some Honorable Mentions:

As you can see there is a bit of overlap between the two lists. However, there are also some surprising inclusions. If you want to do some further reading on these games, we have reviews for Tearaway, Gunpoint, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Super Mario 3D World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Assassin’s Creed: Black FlagFire Emblem: Awakening, and Rayman Legends. You can also see our hands-on impression of Divekick from PAX East 2013.

Of course, we here at oprainfall have our own reader poll going on. The preliminary vote for our Reader’s Game of the Year Award is going on now. You’ve got about a week left, so hurry up and vote if you haven’t.

Don’t forget to check out our coverage of the Top Gaming Moments of 2013. When you’re done looking back at last year, see what the staff listed as their Most Anticipated Games of 2014. And if you like reading Top 10 lists, we sure do have a bunch of those.
