Back in December, Amazon ran a poll on Facebook asking people their favorite video game of 2013. In a recent post, they’ve announced that the top 10 has been decided–and shared a snazzy-looking pie chart of the results.
The Top 10 Games of 2013 as voted by Amazon Facebook fans are:
- The Last of Us
- Bioshock Infinite
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Super Mario 3D World
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
- Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
- Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
- Tomb Raider
- Fire Emblem: Awakening
- Battlefield IV
Amazon’s staff has also conducted their own in-house Top 10 Video Games list. Here’s what they came up with:
- The Last of Us
- Rogue Legacy
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
- Tearaway
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Bioshock Infinite
- Rayman Legends
- Divekick
- Super Mario 3D World
- Ni no Kuni: Wratch of the White Witch
They’ve also listed some Honorable Mentions:

- Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons
- Metro Last Light
- Fire Emblem: Awakening
- Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
- Gunpoint

As you can see there is a bit of overlap between the two lists. However, there are also some surprising inclusions. If you want to do some further reading on these games, we have reviews for Tearaway, Gunpoint, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Super Mario 3D World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and Rayman Legends. You can also see our hands-on impression of Divekick from PAX East 2013.
Of course, we here at oprainfall have our own reader poll going on. The preliminary vote for our Reader’s Game of the Year Award is going on now. You’ve got about a week left, so hurry up and vote if you haven’t.
