Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to another Monday and another episode of The Downpour Podcast!
Jonathan, Jared and Randy make up for being gone last week by cramming this episode full of thoughts and impressions you’ve been waiting for. The hosts share their thoughts on everything from the recent Gamescom announcements to Xenoblade Chronicles. Heck, there’s even a bit of Pokémon discussion in light of recent news to come from Game Freak!
So, what has everyone been playing for the past two weeks? Expect thoughts on Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, DuckTales Remastered, and Tales of Xillia for sure, but if you think this will be another cookie-cutter show about the games of August, things take a bit of a turn when someone brings up Metal Wolf Chaos and Ingress. Tune in for just over an hour devoted to games and news!
The anime section was cut out this week in favor of a very important anime to the show, which Jonathan watched for the very first time while everyone was gone. The reason this show is so long is that everyone devoted over an hour to discussing Neon Genesis Evangelion—and whether Jonathan loved it or abhorred it. We “end” the show at around the 1:06:47 mark (after giving non-EVA folks ample spoiler warnings), but there’s plenty more show after that for the dedicated EVA fans.
Over two hours of content—most definitely a jam packed show. Please do enjoy! Jonathan, Jared and Randy will sit down to record Episode 32 of the show on Wednesday, August 28th, at 6:30 PM PDT/9:30 PM EDT/1:00 AM UTC.
As usual, we always appreciate your feedback. Please let us know how you feel in the comments below or by sending an email to [email protected].
