Nintendo Download | eShop Logo

Not a whole lot going on in this week’s Nintendo Download. The Wii U gets two new additions to its eShop with Galaga for the NES ($4.99) and the digital download version of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist ($59.99), which will be available on August 20th. There are, however, two sales starting this week. Runner2 will be discounted to $11.25 until August 29th, while Trine 2: Director’s Cut will be available for $7.99 from now until September 3rd. It’s worth noting that the official press release below states the sale will last until September 5th, but to be safe, we’ll just assume that the sale will last until the 3rd.

The 3DS isn’t getting a whole lot of games of note, however. The only Virtual Console game being released for the system is Donkey Kong for the NES ($4.99).  Hopefully, we’ll see a more compelling crop of games being released once we get out of the summer doldrums.
