Soriti Horse | oprainfall

First came the mysterious teaser site with a glowing image of a horse. Then, the announcement was made: Game Freak, known for developing the Pokémon series, is developing Soriti Horse – a horse-racing-simulator-slash-solitaire-game – for the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Now, there’s an actual gameplay trailer that shows off exactly what this game is about.

In Soriti Horse, you play solitaire while racing horses. Performing well in the card game can give your horse a boost on the track.

If you’re like me, and can’t figure out whether this is a truly unique and innovative gameplay mechanic, or if it’s just plain weird, check out the trailer and decide for yourself.

Tell us what you think after seeing the trailer by leaving a comment below. Soriti Horse is currently available only in Japan via the 3DS eShop for a price of 500 yen.
