The indie market has experienced massive growth over the past few years. Game Loading: Rise of the Indies is an upcoming film developed by Melbourne-based Studio Bento, aiming to take a closer look at how this rise in the number of independent developers is affecting the industry as a whole.

Rise of the Indies follows developers from all over the world as they work at making the ideas trapped in their heads a playable reality over the course of an entire year. Developers from Australia, Europe, the United States, Canada, South America and even North Africa are featured in the film, alongside prominent journalists and academics in the industry.

Local film makers Lester Francois and Anna Brady are helming the project, which will be launching a Kickstarter sometime soon.  Here’s the teaser they uploaded for the project, and do keep in mind there is a touch of swearing:
