In a interview with Siliconera, Arc System Works president Minoru Kidooka not only told the reporter that Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- will possibly be in development until next year’s E3, but also that the company was preparing to move towards the next generation.
When asked if he would divulge any new information on Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, Kidooka replied that it isn’t until E3 of 2014 that fans will possibly get more info. “Most likely, [creator] Daisuke Ishiwatari will come to E3 next year and you can ask him then,” Kidooka shared with Siliconera.
When asked if the company was moving towards developing games on the next generation consoles, Kidooka replied “Currently, we are brainstorming,” going further by adding “Guilty Gear Xrd is a title we’re considering to bring to the next generation.” Kidooka also confirmed that Arc System Works was one of the many developers that will work with the PlayStation 4.
So, will Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- be a possible title for the next generation consoles? Maybe even a PlayStation 4 exclusive? Until next year’s E3, the future of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- will likely remain in the dark.
