Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist is a manga series that just made the leap into the world of anime this year. Now Namco Bandai has announced that they will be creating the first Makai Ouji video game. Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist: Treasure of the Substitute King will be released in Japan for the 3DS.
No price point or release date is known for the game as of yet, but so far Namco Bandai has launched a teaser website with the game’s logo.
Makai Ouji’s story focuses on a boy named William. He comes from a wealthy family, and is known for his extraordinary intellect; but these factors aren’t enough to keep William’s uncle from losing everything to a failing business. When William returns to the family estate with his butler to see what they can sell for spare cash, they uncover a hidden room and a magical seal. William accidentally uses the seal to summon the demon Dantalion, and learns that he has a new, exciting prospect: if he so chooses, William can become king of the demon world.
The Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist manga, created by Madoka Takadono and Utako Yukihiro, is currently being serialized in Zero-Sum magazine. Dogakobo is producing the anime series, which premieres this July.
