Some more gameplay features have been revealed for VanillaWare’s new 2D beat’em up, Dragon’s Crown, in a new trailer just released today.

The trailer showcases the previously mentioned skill system, which players will have to utilize as they upgrade their characters to progress through the game. These skills seem to strengthen a character’s magic spells, upgrade their fighting techniques, give numerous resistances, and add special attributes that look unique for each of the six adventurers.

The trailer also gave us a glimpse of Dragon’s Crown‘s multiplayer, which we now know will be able to house anywhere up to four players. It will also play host to the artwork gallery, which will showcase the art that can be collected by completing various tasks in game.

For those who wish to see the trailer, you can have a look below:

Dragon’s Crown will be released on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita on the 25th of July in Japan and on the 6th of August in North America.
