A new opening for the PlayStation 3 game Date a Live Rinne Utopia has been released online. It features a theme song by the group Sweet ARMS, which also did the opening theme for the Date a Live anime that premiered this spring.

The Date a Live anime and game series are both based on the series of light novels by Kōshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako. The plot centers on protagonist Shido Itsuka and a phenomenon called “spacequakes” that plague the world he lives in. When Shido finds a mysterious girl in the middle of a spacequake, it’s revealed that she and other “spirits” like her are the real cause of the quakes. Not only that, but Shido has the ability to negate their powers- by making them fall in love with him.

Date a Live Rinne Utopia is being produced by Compile Heart and Sting Entertainment. It features a new character named Rinne Sonogami (voiced by Kana Hanazawa). It will be released in Japan June 27th.
