Taiko no Taijutsu is an extremely popular drum based rhythm game in Japan. With Puzzle and Dragons also being popular in Japan, it is only natural the series has had some of it’s music added. Based off of traditional Japanese drumming, or otaiko, the rhythm game features a variety of songs from traditional Beethoven to Kyaru Pamyu Pamyu’s hit “Pon Pon Pon”. But that’s not all, the game also features a lot of music from anime and video games such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Hatsune Miku and Dragon Quest IX.puzzle_and_dragons

DLC for Taiko: Drum Master Plus, an iOS game of the series, was announced by Namco Bandai featuring music from Puzzle and Dragons. With a price of 250¥, this DLC pack features the songs “Walking Through The Towers”, “The Orb Festival” and “A New Journey.” Like most songs featured from a video game like the Monster Hunter G’s (MH3U) medley in Taiko no Taijutsu: Chibi Dragon to Fushigina Orb, it features the games characters/monsters. These three songs will feature the dragons from GungHo Online Entertainment’s game Puzzle and Dragons in the background. Unfortunately Taiko: Drum Master Plus is not available in the west like most games in the series, but it would sure be a lot of fun to play!
