If you were going to pinpoint exactly what makes the Kingdom Hearts series so popular, you’d probably start with the craziness of the Final Fantasy/Disney crossover concept. Then, you’d move on to the convoluted, but interesting story, and finally, the sheer awesomeness of the main weapon in the series, the Keyblade. While there may be other “real life” Keyblades in the wild, it’s hard to imagine them getting this kind of immaculate detail.
If you hear a slight wimpering sound, it’s probably a few of our staff members realizing that this should have placed higher in our Top 10 Swords countdown. That aside, it’s a fantastic look into Nomura’s finest, seeing it go from creation to actual usage, and as a weapon, the video shows pretty clearly you could do worse… That poor Dreamcast… Now all he needs to do is get started on making me an Oathkeeper and Oblivion, and we’ll take down a few heartless together.
