Youkai Watch

Level-5’s latest mixed media project, Youkai Watch for the Nintendo 3DS, has been announced for a release sometime this summer. At this time, there hasn’t been any news regarding a release outside of Japan. The game certainly looks interesting – sort of like a strange fusion of Pokemon and a kid’s See-N-Say. Battle seems somewhat roulette based, but this is purely conjecture. If you haven’t already, you should check out the trailer below to try and puzzle out some of the game’s details (and listen to the incredibly catchy, Inspector Gadget-esque music!).

If you’d like to check out the game some more, you can visit the game’s Japanese website.
