Tecmo Koei Europe has released a few new details about the upcoming release of Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires.
Firstly, let’s talk about the game’s Edit Mode. In this mode, players can create their own customized character, with customization options including: facial features, personality, weapon animation, abilities and costumes. These customized characters can then be sent into battle, and shared online. Characters shared online can then be downloaded into other players’ games, where they can be accessed via Dynasty Warriors 7 Empire’s Extras mode. So don’t make your character really weird, and then get mad when people laugh at you.
In Extras mode, you can create teams of others’ characters (a.k.a. guest characters), play cooperatively with others, or use the guest characters as battlefield officers.
In addition, guest characters carry over their creator’s history and play-style, influencing their AI.
But wait! There’s more!
Tecmo Koei also announced some pre-order bonuses for residents of the UK.
Pre-ordering through GAME will net you the costumes of Diao Chan and Zhao Yun from Dynasty Warriors 6, as well as the ever so punny Nobunyaga costume. See, “nya” is the Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound a cat makes, and Nobunyaga is what Samurai Warriors‘ Nobunaga Oda would look like if he were a cute little kitty cat, instead of a warlord.
There are also some new screenshots!
Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires releases on February 22nd in Europe, and on the 26th in North America. However, while released as in physical form in Europe, only a digital version will be available in North America.
