Once again, the Operation Rainfall Retro Commercial Research Team (in other words, me) will be doing something a bit different this week. No, I haven’t run out of old video game commercials yet. I promise I’ll get back to them. But this week, I wanted to highlight one of my favorite web series, Game Theory. For those who don’t know about it, it’s basically like Mythbusters, but for video games. In his latest episode, MatPat talks about some of the religious undertones in the Final Fantasy series.

Before I go any further I should point out that, aside from talking about the various religious aspects of Final Fantasy, he does spoil the endings/plots of some older Final Fantasy titles including Final Fantasy X, VI, Legends, and Tactics. If you’re not keen on this kind of stuff, consider yourself warned. Otherwise, enjoy the video in this week’s Special Wrap-Up!

Here are the highlights from this past week.
