It’s almost that time of year, again. Most of us at OpRainfall have already gone to visit our family and friends for the holidays. But that won’t stop the Operation Rainfall Retro Commercial Research Team (in other words, me) from providing you with some fun commercial enjoyment with your recap this weekend. So with that in mind, here are some fun Christmas Decemberween themed commercials for you just in time for the holidays in this week’s Retro Wrap-Up.

Anyways, here are the highlights from this past week.

Rose Weitz talks about how The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask got her into gaming in this week’s OpRainfall Origins.

A new trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has been revealed. Those glasses!

If you decide to pre-order Fire Emblem: Awakening from Gamestop in North America, you’ll be rewarded with a sweet artbook.

Jonathan Higgins reviews Black Knight Sword and Charlotte Buckingham reviews Etrian Odyssey in this week’s Game of the Past review.

Capcom sent out a digital survey asking you what you want in terms of digital stuff. Make sure to vote for Mega Man Legends.

Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers has been announced for a North American release. Get excite!

Jeff Neuenschwander talks about the statuses of Elite: Dangerous, Meriweather: An American Epic, and Barkley 2 in this week’s Crowdfunding Spotlight.

Steve Baltimore talks about why the Vita is definitely worth your time and money.

Final Fantasy V is coming to iOS. What could possibly go wrong?

One of our staff members shows us something special that Nintendo of Europe sent out to him.

Itoi’s working on something related to the Mother franchise. Get excite!

I rage at Nintendo about how they’ve been treating the Wii’s Virtual Console over the past couple of years.

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is getting a sequel in Japan. Now if only the first game would get an international release.

Finally, several of the OpRainfall staff members give their top five most anticipated games of 2013.

About Kyle Emch

Kyle has been studying music at college for about three years now. He's played the piano since he was 6 years old and has been recently been learning how to write music. He has followed the Operation Rainfall movement on Facebook since it started and was happy to volunteer for the website. Just don't mention Earthbound or the Mother franchise around him.
