Time and Eternity: Toki Towa, a new & original RPG for the PS3 tells a strange tale. Our hero of the story is a young man who was supposed to marry a princess named Toki. But on his wedding day, tragedy strikes; mysterious guests crash the wedding and he is fatally wounded. We’re not sure exactly why he’s called the “hero” if he is killed in the beginning of the game, but this is just one of the many twists Toki Towa offers. To save him, his fiancé Princess Toki must travel through time in hopes of rewriting history and preventing the tragedy from happening.

However, Toki has two souls. And as she travels into the past to correct the future, she must use her aggressive alter ego Towa in battle.  And this is where the awkward love triangle sets in. As this new video reveals (seen below), our blue-haired hero must make a choice. Just who will he fall in love with? How exactly can Toki compete with… herself? That’s up to you. Promotional materials and now a trailer for Time and Eternity ask the question “who will the prince choose: Toki or Towa?” It seems players will be able to decide who he gets to marry. How will this affect the story? Will the game have multiple endings perhaps? This game has certainly got me intrigued.

Imageepoch have also released a sample of the game’s soundtrack. A mixture of elegant & upbeat tunes. Check it out below:

Namco Bandai’s Kay Hirono has confirmed that the game is set to be released in English sometime in the near future, most likely early 2013.

Time and Eternity: Toki Towa is slated for release on October 11 in Japan.
