Official soundtracks for Nintendo games have often been hard to come by outside Japan. Their Club Nintendo gets all kinds of neat rewards, and full game soundtracks have often been released without the need for some special promotion attached. Today, however, for the first time ever, the full soundtrack for Pokémon X & Y has been released globally.

Pokémon X & Pokémon Y: Super Music Collection | Cover Art

Pokémon X & Pokémon Y: Super Music Collection contains 202 tracks from the games, plus 10 extra bonus tracks that seem to be from Pokémon Origins. It’s available from iTunes for $9.99 USD/CAD, £7.99, €8.99, $16.99 AUD, $18.99 NZD, and other regional prices. Considering physical versions of similar soundtracks cost a little more to import, I’d say that’s a steal.

Are you curious about our thoughts on Pokémon X and Y? Two members of the oprainfall Staff wrote up dual reviews of the game. Our review of Pokémon X is from the perspective of someone who’s never played any game in the series before, and our review of Pokémon Y offers the perspective of a series veteran. I also talked about them in Episode 36 of The Downpour Podcast. I think all three of us would agree the soundtrack for these games is phenomenal. Surely this deal is not to be missed!

Covering Pokémon is sort of a new endeavor for the site. Want to see more Pokémon from us? Comment below or shoot us an email and tell us what you’d like to see! Pokémon X and Y are available now for Nintendo 3DS.
