Today, Square Enix finally demonstrated Dragon Quest X for the WiiU at Tokyo Games Show. Some of the features were shown as well, like being able to play the game on the WiiU Gamepad screen. No word on a release date yet for Japan.
Stay tuned for more news about Dragon Quest X as it develops.
Former Volunteer- Clinton started following the movement back when it was still being hosted on the IGN message boards and with the Amazon push of Monado. He’s also an audio engineer, studying in Seattle and waiting for his big break into the world of audio (but not to the detriment of video game writing, of course).

I like that the player can run around immediately after defeating an enemy. The draw-distance doesn’t look too great, though. There are a lot of things popping up in the background. Hopefully, this will be fixed or modified to a fade-in effect by release.

Simple enough, it looks pretty crisp. I agree with Kai that the pop-up shouldn’t be a problem, considering the WiiU has plenty of ram/processing power to run this game.
so will this get a monthly fee over here in the states? i mean if its brought over here? I hope they go the monster hunter 3 route and make it free to play besides buying the game
So the Dragon Quest X that I’ve been waiting is a non turn-based MMO with a monthly fee? Thanks for another disappointment, SquareEnix.
