This week the lead title in the Nintendo Download is of course Metroid Dread! Furthermore, we have another sizable list of new eShop titles to check out. Nintendo has also revealed some new goodies related to the game, and a sweepstakes on their website.

There is also a special offer going for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans. For a limited time, you can get double gold points for buying the digital version of the game or certain DLCs for it.

Featured Games

Metroid Dread is finally here, bringing with it plenty of tension. Samus’ latest mission is to investigate a transmission showing the infamous X parasite. However, she’ll have to avoid the rogue E.M.M.I. research bots that can destroy her easily. What will she find on Planet ZDR?

Tetris Effect: Connected arrives on the Switch on October 8th. It brings you a new way to experience Tetris. This version of the game was already available on other platforms but is now coming to the Switch. It includes over 10 modes and 30+ stages.

Choose to be a hero or a disaster of a person in Disco Elysium – The Final Cut. Use your unique detective skills to crack murders. Interrogate people to find clues, or even take bribes. The game arrives on October 12th.

The silly party game, Gang Beasts, is also coming to the Switch on October 12th. Gelatinous characters take on brutal slapstick battles on absurdly dangerous stages. Fight locally or online in melee mode, or join forces with your friends to take on Beef City’s gangs in gang mode.

Current Sales

The sales scene is a bit quieter in this Nintendo Download. Most of the sales from last week have since expired. However, we do have a few new things to cover.

The biggest new sale is the Focus Publisher Week sale. This runs through October 10th, and features 10 games.

Next up, we have the Subnautica + Subnautica: Below Zero Digital Bundle Pre-Order Sale. This one runs through October 14th, the game’s launch date. Those who grab it during that time will get a nice discount.

Lastly, with the launch of the new Children of Morta: Ancient Spirits DLC, the game and its DLC are significantly discounted. Also in this sale is the game Moonlighter. This sale will run all the way through October 27th.

As always, check out Nintendo’s sales page for full details on all current sales.

About Michael Fontanini

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general).

I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
