Triangle Strategy

Triangle Strategy, the upcoming turn-based strategy RPG from Square Enix, has received an assortment of updates and fine-tuning following the results of a survey regarding the game’s demo, released this February.

From the Nintendo Direct video above:

“In Triangle Strategy, a fiery chronicle of war presented in stunning HD2D, your actions will lead you through a riveting story that changes based on the decisions you make. In the end, where will your conviction guide you? In response to the survey about the demo released in February of this year, the game has been fine-tuned with a focus on elements that received lots of feedback. These include adjustments to the difficulty, improvements to on-screen visuals, camera angle controls, the ability to review previous dialogue, and streamlined game flow and loading times.”

You can read the results of the survey on Nintendo’s website here. Some of these improvements include auto-play and skip features; improved cursor speed on the world map; “Hard” and “Easy” difficulty settings; the ability to freely adjust the degree of zoom-in and zoom-out; “Simulation Mode;” more options for screen visibility, effects, and controls; clearer weapon type icons; adjusted button assignments; improved display for buffs, debuffs, and the number of turns effects will last; a new battle retry feature; and more.

“We’re grateful to have received a lot of responses from people all over the world, and are very glad as developers to have gotten positive feedback and suggestions from each region,” write producers Yasuaki Arai and Tomoya Asano. “We’re working on various improvements for the final version of Triangle Strategy, based on the responses to the survey. Please take a look!”

Triangle Strategy will launch on the Nintendo Switch March 4, 2022.
