In a press release put out today by Modus Games they’ve announced the earlier than planned release of their upcoming horror game, Remothered: Broken Porcelain.
Remothered: Broken Porcelain is the sequel to the developers, Stormind Games, Remothered: Tormented Fathers released in 2018. From a narrative perspective, Broken Porcelain serves as both a sequel and prequel to Tormented Fathers. It also brings new and improved mechanics and puzzles they believe horror game fans will enjoy.
While Remothered: Broken Porcelain was originally planned to launch October 20th, it has since been pushed forward a week to October 13th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Checkout the press release below for more information:
Remothered: Broken Porcelain to Release One Week Early on October 13
Publisher Modus Games cites busy month as reason to launch early
Walnut Creek, Calif. (September 22, 2020) – In a surprising move just one month out from Remothered: Broken Porcelain’s communicated launch date of October 20, indie publisher Modus Games today announced they will now release the horror sequel Remothered: Broken Porcelain on October 13.
Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC for $29.99, Remothered: Broken Porcelain follows the critically lauded Remothered: Tormented Fathers and features new gameplay mechanics and narrative elements sure to spook even the bravest of players. Directed by Chris Darril of Darril Arts and developed by Stormind Games, Remothered: Broken Porcelain weaves events from the first entry into this all-new experience that pulls fans and newcomers alike into an incredibly immersive and haunting experience, all centered around the mysterious happenings of the Ashmann Inn.
“This is an incredibly busy month for games, particularly horror games,” said Shane Bierwith, EVP of global marketing at Modus. “While moving dates forward isn’t common, we’d like to allow horror fans to get their hands on Broken Porcelain early so players can have more time to experience all the great games releasing around Halloween.”
Remothered: Broken Porcelain acts as both prequel and sequel to its predecessor. And while horror enthusiasts will now be able to explore its challenging puzzles, expanded lore and intense, complex characters one week earlier than expected, the experience is likely to haunt them well after the game is over.
