This year is about to end, but don’t tell the team behind Asterism that! Crystal Game Works is hard at work on the VN-RPG hybrid and they want you to know that. Furthermore, today marks the release of their ‘pure-VN’ demo. To clarify, while the full game is a hybrid, players will strictly play the visual novel portion of the wonderful story. Since it’s a demo, feedback is monumental without a doubt. Please utilize the proper channels to let them know of your thoughts once you finish your playthrough. What’s Asterism about?

Kotachi received a pair of white revolvers after his grandfather died, forged from the constellation Perseus. His weapons target specters, shadow monsters that invisibly attack people… and the Zodiac. As one of the few who can, it’s up to Kotachi to both protect these constellations and use their powers in battle to keep everyone safe.

Asterism at its heart is a story-heavy turn based RPG inspired by astronomy elements, namely the constellations that make up our sky- especially the Zodiac. It can be played in either the base game, an RPG with battles and visual novel style dialogue, or as a pure visual novel with battle cut-ins rather than turn-based fighting. Choices accompany many of the dialogue menus in both play styles, and can determine how side characters end up by the end of the story- including an optional male love interest.

Diego is an incredibly passionate visual novel enthusiast from an island within the Caribbean. He intends on working alongside Operation Rainfall to inform the masses about the vast library of breathtaking visual literature. As well as spreading awareness of the amazingly talented individuals hard at work on said breathtaking projects.
