DeNA Co. and The Pokémon Company have announced a new update to their mobile game, Pokémon Masters, that just went live today.

The biggest addition to come out of this update is the inclusion of three new chapters added to the games story mode. This allows players to progress further in the story, up to chapter 21, and completing these three chapters will allow the player to add Pokémon X & Y‘s Calem and his Espurr to their team. Another new addition is the ability for the main character to pair up with a Torchic. This marks the first time in which the player character can pair up with a Pokémon that isn’t Pikachu.

To celebrate this update players can take part in a new in-game event being called “The Story Continues! Special Rally!”. This event will be held for a limited time, ending on November 27th and will reward players with up to 2,000 gems for completing special missions and logging into the game with an additional 4,200 gems up for grabs to players who log in for 14 consecutive days, running for a limited time until December 1st.
