Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris | Key Art

During the Sword Art Online pre-Beaters’ Cafe Meeting live stream, about 10 minutes of gameplay was shown for Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris. Yosuke Futami, the producer of the Sword Art Online games, played the demo and it features Kirito and Alice as playable characters. The gameplay demo showcases Rulid Village and also some combat against a boss spider monster. This is the same demo Japanese fans got a chance to play 2 months ago. The demo is for the PlayStation 4 version.

You can check out the gameplay footage from the live stream below. The gameplay portion runs from 44:53-54:57.

As seen in the demo, players can freely switch between characters while free roaming the world as well as during combat. There is also a fast travel option. It should be noted that for the demo, even when your HP hits 0, players can still continue fighting. Players can only use two Sacred Arts elements in the demo, but more are planned to be usable in the full game.

The official Twitter account for the Sword Art Online games also posted another gameplay video featuring the battle with Eugeo. You can check that out below.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. There is no official release date at this time.
