Midnight Ghost Hunt gameplay

During the PC Gaming Show at E3 2019, indie developer Mellowsoft announced a new game coming to PC titledĀ Midnight Ghost Hunt. It’s a 4v4 hide-and-seek style game, where one team plays as ghost hunters while the other plays as ghosts taking over various items around the environment and trying to stay hidden until midnight.

The trailer can be seen below:

The game’s inspiration by the Garry’s Mod Prop Hunt mode is clear, but the developer ensures thatĀ Midnight Ghost Hunt has more to it than just Prop Hunt. The ghost players are capable of attacking the hunters by flinging the item they possess, although it’s clear that this is something of a last resort, and once the clock hits midnight the tables turn. Ghosts become more powerful, and start hunting the other team, while the former hunters need to escape from the house.

No release date is given on the game’s Steam page, but the official site has a way to sign up for a chance to get into the game’s closed beta, whether through email signup or through the official Discord server.
