Catgirl's Questlist | Bonding

Catgirl's Questlist | Cast

After I met that catgirl, my questlist got too long! or Catgirl’s Questlist for short needs your help. Rascal Devworks, the team behind the charming visual novel Snowed IN, officially open the Kickstarter to their promising VN/RPG hybrid. The otherworldly yuri themed hybrid seeks $7,815 within the next 29 days and aims for a January 2020 release. For clarification, $11 will get you a digital copy of the game. In addition, a demo is now available to give potential backers a taste of what’s to come.

Catgirl’s Questlist demo features:

  • The first 4 in-game days of this month-long adventure. That’s around 10% of the completed game.
  • Full-fledged RPG with questing, exploration and combat.
  • VN-style story progression with auto-saving and skipping functions.
  • More than 15 quests and optional content.
  • The first bonding event for each girl, Lyra included!
  • A cliffhanger that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Featured in the trailer above is a fair amount of the game’s gorgeous art. Consequently, it’s the game’s art that has led to the campaign. The developer explains in the latter half of the Campaign page:

Do you love the art for the girls? So do we. While the designs are our original creations, the art itself is commissioned. Due to the sheer amount of CGs (both SFW and NSFW) and sprite art for NPCs, we defaulted to crowdfunding.

We self-funded our debut game, Snowed IN, and that was a big limitation on what we could do with it. We came to the conclusion that we need more funding to make our games exactly as we want them to be.

Everything that we can’t do in-house we either commission or buy, so the costs add up pretty quickly. Help us make Catgirl’s Questlist a reality!

Snowed IN is an impressive debut title due to its character development and art. However, as the developer stated, there was a big limitation on the title due to its funding. As a person that did enjoy the game, I can only imagine their potential with a funded project. I wholeheartedly recommend you check the demo out and consider pledging.
