Aniplex USA has announced that the 3rd cour of Sword Art Online: Alicization will start airing in October 2019. The previous 2-cours of the anime lasted a total of 24 episodes. The 24th episode aired on March 30, 2019. You can check out the teaser for the next cour below. The teaser features the character Alice.
Sword Art Online: Alicization is based on the “Alicization” arc of Reki Kawahara’s original light novels. It is the longest arc in the Sword Art Online light novel series. The “Alicization” arc will also be adapted into a video game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The 3rd cour, War of Underworld, will air in October 2019.
