Mega Man 8 Promo art

The fighting robot is getting closer to blasting enemies on the big screen. Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (Catfish, Paranormal Activity 3 and 4, Nerve) are in final talks to both write and direct a Mega Man film. Masi Oka (Heroes, producer on the upcoming Netflix Death Note film) is set to produce along with Chernin Entertainment. The film will be distributed under Twentieth Century Fox.

Mega Man has graced the small screen before, but only in the form of anime. What form the new movie will take, whether live-action or CGI, is yet to be seen, as Twentieth Century Fox only acquired the rights earlier this year. We’ll keep you posted once new details are available.
