SEGA has announced today that  Yakuza Kiwami Will Be Launching in the West in August. This is a remake of the first Yakuza game with completely redone graphics. The Japanese voice acting has also been re-recorded  by the original cast. This version of the game also features added distractions and 30 minutes of new cutscenes. The game will release in Europe and North America on August 29th with a retail price of $29,99. Pre-orders/first run copies of the physical version will come packaged in a stunning SteelBook.

SEGA has also launch an all new Yakuza Experience website. This is an all new Yakuza portal is a place the world can be explored  via an interactive timeline and character map. This is a great way to learn all about the Yakuza Universe. There is also the first issue of  the 10-issue digital comic. This comic starts with some of the key events of Yakuza 0 and goes all the way up to Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, coming to PS4 early next year. Even if you have been a fan of the series a while you might find some new goodies here as well.

SEGA has also released some screen shots and a trailer for your viewing pleasure:

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.

  • Panpopo

This is a bargain. Getting this day one.

  • DOUGHNUTS ARE AMAZING

This is so generous. SEGA could have charged full price and people would still have bought it.
