Gantz: O

Over the weekend, Netflix added the 3D CG anime film, Gantz: O. The film is based on the Osaka arc in the original manga by Hiroya Oku. You can watch the film in Japanese or with an English dub. There are also subtitles in English, Japanese, French, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.

Here is the cast for the English dub:

  • Ayumu: Austin Chase
  • Kimura: Bryce Papenbrook
  • Gantz Ball: Cherami Leigh
  • Shimaki: Steve Heiser
  • Oka: Doug Erholtz
  • Demon Nurari: Taylor Henry
  • Nurarihyon: Josiah Wills
  • Kato: Kaiji Tang
  • Muroya: Keith Silverstein
  • Nishi: Kyle McCarley
  • Kurono: Lucien Dodge
  • Suzuki: Todd Haberkorn
  • Taira: Tony Azzolino

Cristina Vee and Laura Post are credited in the film, as Yamasaki and Reika respectively, but both have confirmed on Twitter that they are not in the film’s dub.

Gantz: O released in Japan back in October, featuring 4D, MX4D and standard screenings. Previously, Gantz had two live-action movies that released back in 2011. Before that, the series had a 26 episode anime released in 2004.

It looks quite pretty. I may give it a watch and if I like it I may check out the anime as well.
