Ultra Despair Girls Komaru

NIS America has announced that the previously PS Vita-exclusive Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will be coming to PS4. Not much about the re-release was announced, aside from a general release window of summer 2017.

There’s also a trailer for the PS4 release:

Ultra Despair Girls is a spin-off to the main Danganronpa series, an action-adventure game as opposed to the mystery visual novel-style gameplay of the two main games. The story is meant to serve as a bridge between them, and stars Komaru Naegi, the sister of the first game’s protagonist Makoto Naegi. She is joined by another survivor from the first game, Toko Fukawa, fighting through the broken world and trying to survive. If you want to know more about the game, you can read our review of the PS Vita version here.

Originally released in 2015 on the PS Vita, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is a spin-off action-adventure game that connects the critically acclaimed mystery adventures Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.

About the game:

Komaru Naegi, little sister to Makoto Naegi, has been imprisoned inside a mysterious apartment for over a year. Komaru soon discovers that the city has been taken over by a group of children calling themselves the Warriors of Hope. Their leader, Monaca, declares that the city will be the site of a “children’s paradise,” and to accomplish this, all the adults will be exterminated. Komaru teams up with Toko Fukawa to try to survive the rampaging Monokumas, escape the crafty Monokuma Kids, and uncover the secrets of the city.

Key Features:

Third Person Shooter Action Sequences: Use Future Foundation’s Hacking Gun to have a fighting chance against the hordes of Monokumas as you traverse Towa City.

Riddles and Puzzles: The Monokuma Kids will challenge more than just your trigger finger; you’ll need your smarts to survive as well. There’s a lot to discover in the city, with a number of familiar faces and mysteries to unravel!
