The developers of Nidhogg 2, the sequel to the award-winning original, have announced that the game is coming to PlayStation 4 players. The game is set to launch in 2017.

“Fill your opponent with arrows, chuck a knife into its groin, smash its face into juicy goop, or even kick it old-school with your trusty sword.”

Nidhogg 2 is full of new weapons and new moves, all waiting for you to test them out on your foe’s face. Check out the teaser trailer:

Nidhogg 2 Coming to PS4 – Now with 100% More Mythical Monster Butt

 

The next installment in the award-winning game of stabby duelists, Nidhogg 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 in all its sword-swinging, axe-throwing, face-stomping glory in 2017.

Want to see what it’s like to go inside a dying nidhogg and come out its butt? Silly question…of course you do! Check out the new screenshots here.

If you’re heading to Day of the Devs this Saturday (Nov. 5th) in San Francisco, come by booth #30 to go hands-on with an all-new level in Nidhogg 2, or see the game on the main stage from 6-6:30pm.

Here’s a bit of what you can expect in Nidhogg 2:
– Completely overhauled animations with monstrous art from Toby Dixon.
– 10+ levels of fencing goodness, including multiplayer (local/online) and tournament mode.
– Challenge the AI in single-player, including special challenge rounds.
– New soundtrack with music by Mux Mool, Dose One, Daedelus, and more.

About Michael Fontanini

Michael is a veteran gamer in my early 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES and SNES. He loves Nintendo but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks or bike rides, and loves animals.

Michael is also a computer programmer. This started with a toy he got as a kid called PreComputer 1000 that was made by V-Tech. It had a simple programming mode which is what started him down the road of being a programmer! Michael can program in BASIC, Visual Basic, C++, C#, and is familiar with Java and Lua Script.

Putting programming and gaming together, Michael became a hobbyist game developer which may give him some good insights on game development! Most recently, he has been playing with the free version of the Unity engine (a powerful and easy-to-use game engine).

I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
