New Danganronpa V3

Spike Chunsoft has updated the website for New Danganronpa V3 with new details, screenshots and information about the game’s mechanics. NewDanganronpa V3 features a few new changes to the Class Trials, namely the Nonstop Debates and Panic Debates. Nonstop Debates happen when an unresolved issue comes up, and you’re tasked with finding the inconsistencies and shooting at them with Truth Bullets. There’s also Agreement Points, which occur when you agree with someone, but still need to verify what they’re saying. By pressing and holding the button that shoots Truth Bullets, you can take a risk and tell a Lie in hopes of stopping an argument in its tracks without contradictions.

As for the Panic Debates, you have to find the inconsistency as the students frantically talk over each other. These are more difficult than the Nonstop Debates, as finding what you need can be tricky with everyone talking and the text appears all over the screen along with their voices. Finally, there’s the Rebuttal Showdown and Main Performance, which involves you cutting down the opposing character’s arguments one by one to uncover the inconsistency, and then using a “Truth Sword” to pierce it.

New Danganronpa V3 will be out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Japan January 12. Credit to Gematsu for the translation.
